The 2021 Princeton Review rankings ranked UD's undergraduate entrepreneurship program 38th in the country, as only one of two programs in Ohio to claim a spot on the list. This is now the 16th year that our program has been ranked in the Top 50. Our students are well positioned to add value to local businesses and nonprofits.
The management capstone course (MGT 430) provides free opportunities for local startups, established small businesses, social enterprises, and/or nonprofits to receive consultation and project deliverables from senior students who draw upon prior coursework in the entrepreneurship program.
Given that UD’s entrepreneurship students typically double major, each team has a multi-disciplinary skill set, and can address a wide variety of business problems. In the past, student teams have worked on market validation projects, capital investment, marketing and operational challenges. Students are paired with a local mentor, a local entrepreneur, and/or executive who helps coach them through the project.
